Sporting SAD to discuss 150 million euro debt and executive pay
Sporting SAD has convened a General Assembly of shareholders for October 26 at the Estádio José Alvalade Business Hub. The meeting will address 12 agenda items, most notably a request for authorization to contract one or more bond loans totaling approximately 150 million euros.
In addition to financing discussions, the assembly will evaluate the 2025/26 fiscal year accounts and propose rectifications for social bodies for the 2026-2030 period. The meeting will also review executive remuneration proposals.
Under the proposed remuneration plan, Sporting SAD President Frederico Varandas could see his gross annual earnings rise to 890,000 euros for the 2026/27 season, an 18.7% increase from the previous year. This follows a period where the company reported a profit of 34.7 million euros for the 2025/26 exercise. Executive directors Francisco Salgado Zenha and André Bernardo are also slated for salary adjustments.
