Sportivo Belgrano loses to Sol de América, ending promotion hopes

Sportivo Belgrano suffered a 2-0 defeat against Sol de América in Formosa, a result that eliminates the team from contention for the first promotion to Primera Nacional and disqualifies them from the Copa Argentina.

The match, which marked the official debut of new manager Marcelo Vázquez, saw Sol de América take control after Bruno Di Martino scored in the 18th minute. Sebastián Jiménez secured the victory for the home side with a second goal in the 64th minute following a counterattack.

Vázquez had previously noted challenges regarding a short squad and a high number of player injuries upon his arrival. Following this loss, the club must now refocus its efforts on competing for the second promotion opportunity.
