Sportivo Huracán withdraws from Tradición Copera tournament

Sportivo Huracán has officially withdrawn from the Tradición Copera national championship, a tournament scheduled to run from October 31, 2026, to February 28, 2027, which offers promotion to Liga 3. The club, which has multiple titles in the Arequipa district, provincial, and departmental leagues, cited insufficient time to recruit necessary reinforcements and build a competitive squad as the primary reason for its departure.

As a result of this withdrawal, Group 3 of the tournament will now consist of five teams: Alfredo Salinas, Atlético Huracán, Coronel Bolognesi, Miguel Grau de Deportes, and UNISPA. The decision has been formalized before the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Aficionados (LINFA).

Separately, regional teams from Huánuco, including León de Huánuco and Municipal de Chacos, are preparing for their upcoming matches in the tournament. León de Huánuco is scheduled to host San Martín Occidente at the Heraclio Tapia stadium, while Municipal de Chacos will face Colegio Comercio N. ° 64 in Ambo.
