Sports associations in Cauvaldor and Verdun host seasonal kickoff events

Local associations in the Meuse region of France are preparing for the upcoming sports season through various community events. In Cauvaldor, the 8th edition of the associations and sports festival will take place from August 30 to September 6, offering five free days of activities to help residents discover local clubs.

Cauvaldor maintains an active sports policy, managing 20 facilities including 11 gyms and 5 swimming pools. For the 2025-2026 period, the community supported 59 sports associations with 136,816 euros, benefiting nearly 4,600 young people.

In Verdun, a dedicated sports association day is scheduled for September 5, 2026, at Parc de Londres. The event will feature demonstrations, award ceremonies for volunteers and athletes, and opportunities to join various clubs. The city and Grand Verdun are also promoting the ‘Mille Talents’ initiative to facilitate access to sports and cultural activities.
