Sports broadcasters have recently experienced unexpected interruptions from insects during live television segments.

ESPN reporter Lindsey Thiry encountered a large flying beetle while preparing for a live report at the Los Angeles Rams training camp at Loyola Marymount University. Thiry used her microphone to fend off the insect before successfully delivering her report.

Separately, during a Tennis Channel broadcast at the National Bank Open in Montreal, Danielle Collins was startled by a ladybug perched near her eye. The incident caused laughter on set, with commentators noting the ladybug as a sign of good luck.
