France Télévisions may end Coupe de France broadcasting

France Télévisions is reportedly close to relinquishing the broadcasting rights for the Coupe de France due to significant budgetary constraints. The public broadcaster is facing a requirement to save 90 million euros by 2027, leading to discussions about reducing sports rights expenditures. Delphine Ernotte, president of France Télévisions, has indicated that certain competitions may not be renewed. Negotiations with the French Football Federation (FFF) have reportedly stalled, with the broadcaster suggesting a reduction in annual payments from 8 million to 4 million euros.
