Sporting CP wins seventh women's handball Supertaça

Sporting CP has secured its seventh Supertaça title in women's handball after defeating Benfica 31-24 in Santo Tirso. This victory marks the fourth consecutive Supertaça win for the club and their 11th consecutive national title.

Coach Ricardo Costa praised the players' immense ambition, noting that the team successfully faced a Benfica squad that had undergone significant changes. Despite a slight relaxation in performance during the second half, Sporting maintained control to secure the trophy.

In a separate match, Benfica claimed its sixth women's handball Supertaça title by defeating Almeida Garrett with a score of 35-25.
