Sports facilities in Guatemala and Argentina undergo maintenance

Various sports facilities in Guatemala and Argentina are undergoing maintenance and renovation projects to improve infrastructure and playing conditions.

In Guatemala, the Ministry of Culture and Sports is conducting maintenance on several sports centers, including Campo Marte, Campos del Roosevelt, and Erick Bernabé Barrondo. The work covers 17,650 square meters of synthetic turf across three 11-a-side football fields and one 7-a-side field. Maintenance includes technical cleaning, specialized brushing, repairing joints, and distributing 63,500 pounds of granulated rubber. At Campo Marte, repairs also extend to the main roadway, addressing asphalt cracks and exposed roots, as well as structural improvements to perimeter fencing and anti-corrosive painting.

In Villa María, Argentina, the Plaza Manuel Anselmo Ocampo stadium will close for 60 days for an integral maintenance plan. The municipality and the Sports and Tourism Entity are focusing on improving common areas, locker rooms, and the stadium's exterior. Initial stages include painting the facade, columns, and gates. Alejandro Mana, president of the Sports and Tourism Entity, noted that the project aims to optimize the space for local clubs, amateur football, and schools.
