Sports facility renovations begin in Kroměříž and Přerov

Sports facilities in the Czech Republic are undergoing significant renovations in Kroměříž and Přerov.

In Kroměříž, the TJ Slavia sports hall is undergoing a roof reconstruction to address long-standing issues with leaks and insulation. The project, managed by ELIS-střechy, is expected to be completed by August 31. Local officials noted that regional subsidies will cover much of the cost, reducing the impact on the municipal budget. The city is also planning a larger 300 million CZK sports complex in the future.

In Přerov, a 30 million CZK reconstruction of sports grounds at the Jan Blahoslav Gymnasium and the Pedagogical School has commenced. Funded by the Olomouc Region, the project aims to replace dilapidated surfaces that were previously deemed unsafe for students. The work includes creating an athletic oval and a multifunctional court, a project that had been delayed since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
