Sports festivals and youth programs held in Vienna and Wiener Neustadt

Various sports initiatives have taken place across Austria, focusing on community engagement and youth activity.

The Vienna Beach & Sports Festival was held from August 20 to 22 on the Donauinsel. The event featured free access to sports such as beach volleyball, padel, and 3x3 basketball. Aiming for community experience over intense competition, the festival included professional insights from athletes like handball legend Konrad “Conny” Wilczynski and beach volleyball Olympian Clemens Doppler.

In Wiener Neustadt, the “Bewegte Kids” program concluded its summer session, providing nearly 150 children aged 5 to 14 with three weeks of diverse physical activities. The program, which has been held annually since 2012 and in Wiener Neustadt since 2022, focuses on building confidence and social connections through movement without competitive pressure.
