Sports figures Tonči Matić and Radovan Terzić pass away

Sports communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia are mourning the loss of two regional athletic figures.

Tonči Matić, a founding member and former goalkeeper for the Sarajevo-based ice hockey club HK Bosna, has passed away following a short and severe illness. Matić was a key figure in establishing Sarajevo's hockey scene in the early 1980s, serving as a player, coach for youth selections, and president of the club's founding assembly. He had recently participated in the club's 45th and 46th anniversary celebrations.

In Serbia, Radovan Raša Terzić, a prominent figure in Valjevo football, has died at the age of 69. Terzić had a long career with clubs including FK Krušik and Budućnost, where he was noted for his tenacity and versatility, once even playing as a goalkeeper while injured. He was recognized by the sporting community as a dedicated professional and a role model for younger players.
