Sports infrastructure developments announced in Bratislava and Prague

New sports infrastructure projects are underway in Bratislava and Prague. In Bratislava, FC Petržalka president Marek Mojto announced plans for a new stadium following the club's successful run in the second league. The club has secured land in the Janíkov dvor area from the municipal authorities to build a facility capable of meeting requirements for the Niké league.

In Prague, the city has selected VYSSPA Sports Technology to convert a former greyhound racing track in Motol into an athletic stadium. The project, valued at approximately 85.12 million CZK including tax, will include a 400-meter track with eight lanes and facilities for various jumping and throwing events. The construction is expected to take 18 months, with a potential opening in 2028.
