Sports infrastructure projects advance in Łódź and Kresy

New sports infrastructure projects are nearing completion in Poland. In Łódź, six new sports halls are being developed under the ‘Olympia’ program. The facility at the Second General Secondary School (II LO) is currently in the finishing stages, featuring a 20 by 40-meter court suitable for basketball and volleyball. These energy-efficient buildings will include fitness spaces, changing rooms, and unique laser sports shooting ranges. Two of these six halls are being constructed in the Widzew district.

Separately, a major investment at the Kresy sports complex has concluded with the completion of a pneumatic roof over a football pitch. The project, costing over 6.28 million PLN, received 3 million PLN in funding from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The inflatable structure is designed for seasonal use; it will be dismantled by the end of August to allow players to use the new artificial turf with cork filling, then re-inflated between October and November to facilitate winter training through March 2027.
