Sports media expansion in Mexico: Claro Sports and Tennis Channel
Claro Sports has secured a non-exclusive agreement to broadcast matches of the Mexico men's senior national football team. The deal covers two World Cup cycles, spanning from 2026 to 2034. A total of approximately 76 matches will be broadcast within Mexico, including friendly matches, home qualifying matches, and CONCACAF Nations League quarter-finals. Broadcasts are scheduled to begin during the FIFA windows in September and October 2026.
In separate sports media news, Tennis Channel has launched in Mexico through a partnership with izzi. The channel will provide live coverage of various tournaments, including the ATP Challenger Tour and the WTA 500 Monterrey Open. The launch aims to offer Mexican fans 24-hour dedicated tennis programming, including original content, expert analysis, and interviews.
