Sports: Mignoni criticizes Toulon defeat while Vieira defends Senegal players

Rugby Club Toulonnais director Pierre Mignoni expressed intense frustration following a significant defeat against Montpellier. Mignoni criticized his team's performance, particularly in the second half, noting a loss of intensity and excessive errors in kicking and set pieces. He described the performance as “things that are not acceptable at this level” and stated the team was “disappointed, sad, and angry.”

In football, Senegal national team coach Patrick Vieira engaged in a heated exchange with a journalist during a post-match press conference following the Senegal-Comoros match in Marseille. Vieira rebuked the reporter for using the term “has-been” to describe veteran players Idrissa Gana Gueye and Kalidou Koulibaly. Vieira defended the players, calling the terminology a “lack of respect” for individuals who continue to make history for Senegal.
