Sports officials visit Liguria to review infrastructure and local programs

Regional and national sports officials conducted visits to various athletic facilities in the Liguria region of Italy to discuss infrastructure development and local sports programs.

In Alassio, Piedmont Region Councilor Paolo Bongioanni and Mayor Marco Melgrati visited the Kombat Team at the Palazzetto di Alassio. The meeting focused on the growth of combat sports and the importance of institutional support for local athletic organizations. The visit included meeting with athletes, such as MMA prospect Giacomo Michelis.

In Sanremo, CONI President Luciano Buonfiglio met with Mayor Alessandro Mager to review strategic investments in sports facilities. The discussions highlighted progress on projects funded by the PNRR, including football fields and recreational areas in the Pian di Poma zone. Buonfiglio also inspected the construction of a new sports hall, which is expected to be completed next spring following previous legal and bureaucratic delays.
