Sports results in Germany: Handball draw and basketball loss

In German handball, USV Halle Panther and HC Elbflorenz 2006 II played to a 25:25 draw. Despite entering the match as underdogs, the Panther held a lead for much of the game, bolstered by Chris Heyer, who scored 15 goals. A disqualification in the 49th minute shifted the momentum, allowing the Dresden-based visitors to equalize with a penalty shot 39 seconds before the final whistle.

In women's basketball, Eisvögel USC Freiburg suffered their first home defeat at the Uni-Dome against ALBA Berlin. Despite recovering from regional power and internet outages caused by a storm, Freiburg struggled with shooting accuracy, hitting only 11 percent of their three-point attempts. ALBA Berlin secured a 28:33 halftime lead and extended it significantly in the third quarter, led by Fanta Gassama, who recorded 6 points and 14 rebounds.
