Sports success for Slovak and Czech athletes in table tennis and tennis

Slovak table tennis player Ľubomír Pištej secured a victory in the mixed doubles category at the World Table Tennis event in Olomouc. Partnering with Natalie Bajorová, the duo overcame a 1:2 set deficit to defeat Singaporean pair Izaac Quek and Ming Jing Loy with a final score of 3:2.

In Czech tennis, head coach Jan Stočes describes the current period as a ‘golden era’ following significant successes. Notable achievements include Linda Nosková’s Wimbledon triumph and the victory of the Czech duo Karolína Muchová and Jakub Menšík in the US Open mixed doubles competition. The national program currently boasts ten women and four men in the world top 100 rankings.
