Sports Update: Inter de Bogotá draws with Águilas and Carlos Álvarez joins América

In Colombian football, Inter de Bogotá and Águilas Doradas played to a 2-2 draw during the ninth matchday of the Clausura tournament at the Estadio Metropolitano de Techo. Águilas Doradas took an early lead in the sixth minute through Antony Vásquez, but Inter de Bogotá responded with a free kick from Mateo Rodas in the 21st minute. Facundo Boné later put Inter ahead 2-1 in the 53rd minute. Águilas Doradas secured the draw in the 79th minute when Ricardo Márquez converted a penalty following a foul by Yulián Gómez.

In Mexican football, Spanish midfielder Carlos Álvarez has begun training with Club América under manager Guillermo Almada. Arriving from Levante, Álvarez is working to integrate into the squad ahead of the Apertura 2026 tournament. The club hopes he will be physically prepared to potentially debut in the upcoming Clásico Joven against Cruz Azul.
