Sports Update: Rivero sidelined at Universidad de Chile and Aguirre debuts with Valencia

Uruguayan striker Octavio Rivero remains sidelined from Universidad de Chile due to ongoing knee issues. Despite previous indications that he was in the final stages of recovery, Rivero has been training separately with injured players and was absent from the recent match against Ñublense. His last appearance was on September 5, and current estimates suggest he may not be fit for selection until October 21.

In Spain, Valencia CF drew their latest match in Santander following the debut of Mexican manager Javier Aguirre. While the single point provides some stability, it was insufficient to move the club out of the relegation zone. Aguirre faces continued pressure to improve the team's performance and secure victories to avoid further risk in the standings.
