Sports updates: Asiago secures ice hockey victory and Erice handball players receive national call-ups

In ice hockey, Asiago secured a 5-4 victory against Unterland at the Würtharena following a penalty shootout. Despite missing Michele Marchetti and Michele Stevan, the team managed to overcome several lead changes during the match. Key performances included Szypula, who scored during regulation, and goalkeeper Rudy Rigoni, who was instrumental in the shootout win.

In handball, AC Style Handball Erice faces a period of roster changes due to international commitments. Following a draw against Jomi Salerno, which moved the team from the top of the standings, several players have been called up to their respective national teams: Ramona Manojlovic to Italy, Erin Novak to Slovenia, and Alexandra Do Nascimento to Brazil. The team will resume training on October 22 with a reduced squad during the upcoming league break.
