Sports updates: BG Tamm/Bietigheim and VC Wiesbaden prepare for season starts

In German basketball, the newly promoted BG Tamm/Bietigheim faces USC Heidelberg II this Saturday. BG Tamm/Bietigheim has entered the season strongly with three consecutive wins, often securing victories in the final seconds. The team is noted for an aggressive, physical defensive style and full-court pressure, which Heidelberg coach Stefan Gagic noted will test his young squad's decision-making and composure.

In volleyball, VC Wiesbaden begins its season against USC Münster on Sunday, marking the first official match for new head coach Paul Sens. The VC Wiesbaden roster features an international mix, including returning captain Rachel Gomez from the USA and new additions such as Marharyta Geiko. Following the away match in Münster, the team will host Ladies in Black Aachen on Wednesday.
