Sports updates in France: Angers basketball victory and UBB rugby squad shortages

In French women's basketball, UFAB49 (Angers) secured a victory in the Coupe de France round of 32 against Reims. Led by Bright Aman with 16 points and Mariana Bulabula with 19 points, Angers maintained a lead throughout the match, capitalizing on Reims' 28 turnovers to win 68-50.

In rugby, Union Bordeaux Bègles (UBB) faces significant roster challenges ahead of their Top 14 match against Aviron Bayonnais. Manager Yannick Bru must contend with a depleted squad due to numerous injuries and the call-up of nine players to the French national team (XV de France), including Jefferson Poirot, Maxime Lucu, and Damian Penaud. The club is awaiting updates on player availability as they prepare for the upcoming fixture.
