Sports updates: Podhale Nowy Targ and Twarde Pierniki face challenges

In the TAURON Hockey League, Podhale Nowy Targ currently sits in 10th place with zero points this season. Following a heavy 0-11 loss to GKS Katowice, assistant coach Marcin Kolusz emphasized the importance of psychological support for the young squad. To prevent a cycle of defeat, the team plans to implement systematic sessions with a sports psychologist to help players maintain confidence and focus on long-term goals.

In basketball, Arriva Lotto Twarde Pierniki Toruń is struggling to establish team cohesion in the PGE Basket Liga. Despite strong individual talent and key transfers, the team holds a 1-3 record. Coach Srdjan Subotić noted that the squad currently relies too heavily on individual actions rather than collective play, citing defensive struggles and a lack of physical dominance in recent matchups.
