Sports updates: Teqball champions crowned and basketball gold won in Paraná

The second stage of the Teqball Copa do Brasil took place in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná. Curitiba-based athletes Matheus and Isabeli dominated the competition, securing first place in the women's individual, men's individual, men's doubles, and mixed doubles categories. The event, supported by Itaipu Binacional and the local government, serves as a key qualifier for the national ranking. The circuit will conclude in Florianópolis on September 19 and 20.

In regional youth sports, the Marechal Rondon City Hall/ACB basketball teams secured gold medals during the Macro-regional Phase of the Paraná Youth Games in Francisco Beltrão. The men's team won the title following victories over Cascavel, Francisco Beltrão, and Palmas. The women's team also earned gold after defeating Palmas and Cascavel. These results qualify both teams for the Gold Series Final Phase in Umuarama this October.
