The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has announced several leadership developments. Sani Sulaiman, a Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria correspondent in Taraba State, has been appointed as a National Ex-Officio member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and a member of the Independent Investigative Committee (IIC).

Sulaiman, the former Chairman of the SWAN Taraba State chapter, will serve on the IIC to assist in examining complaints and promoting institutional integrity. His appointments take immediate effect.

Separately, the SWAN National Secretariat has formally accepted the immediate resignation of Aron Akerejola as the Acting Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter. While the specific concerns raised in Akerejola’s resignation letter were not disclosed, the Secretariat stated that the matters highlighted would be forwarded to relevant internal bodies for review.
