Sportunion Gmunden athletes excel at state championships in Ried

Athletes from the Sportunion Gmunden track and field section, known as ‘Team Oranje’, achieved significant success at the U16 and U20 state championships held in Ried. Fourteen athletes from the club secured 22 top-six finishes and 32 top-ten placements.

Rosa Bauer emerged as a standout performer, winning three state titles in the U16 category for shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw. Maximilian Prüwasser also secured a state title in the U20 javelin throw, recording a throw of over 48 meters despite competing in a higher age group.

Other notable achievements included bronze medals for the U16 relay team—comprising Magdalena Englacher, Rosa Bauer, Veronika Klima, and Nala Ramsebner—as well as podium finishes for Veronika Klima in javelin, Maximilian Prüwasser in high jump and discus, and Maria Kendler in pole vault.
