Sportunion Gmunden athletes excel at state discus championships

Young athletes from the Sportunion Gmunden athletics section achieved significant success at the state discus throw championships held in late August. Despite facing preparation challenges due to the holiday season and the lack of a dedicated throwing cage in Gmunden, the group secured nine top-six placements.

In the U12 girls' category, Leni Buchegger earned the vice-state champion title, followed by Miriam Kleindienst in fourth, Frieda Bauer in fifth, and Milla Buchegger in sixth. The U14 girls' category also saw strong results, with Louisa Traxler taking the vice-state champion title, Chiara Wallner placing third, and Johanna Neubauer in fifth.

The male athletes also performed well, with Tobias Kleindienst securing the vice-state champion title.
