Spotify and Audible expand audiobook services in Italy
Major audio streaming platforms are expanding their audiobook offerings in the Italian market. Spotify has introduced a dedicated audiobook catalog in Italy, part of a global rollout expected to reach over 180 countries by the end of 2026. Under certain Premium plans—specifically Individual, Family, and Duo—subscribers receive 12 hours of monthly listening time. Users can also access additional hours through a new Audiolibri+ subscription. The expanded catalog includes over 350,000 titles across more than 120 languages.
Simultaneously, Amazon's Audible is offering a promotional subscription in Italy. For 0.99 € per month for the first three months, users can access the platform's full library of audiobooks and podcasts. The service provides unlimited access to Amazon's extensive catalog, including Audible Originals and various genres such as fantasy, science, and true crime.
