Spotify Camp Nou capacity increase limited by renovations

FC Barcelona is managing the phased reopening and renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou. Due to licensing constraints and upcoming roof construction, the stadium's capacity will increase by only approximately 6,000 seats this season, bringing the total to just over 68,000. Club leadership decided to keep the third tier closed to avoid the need for temporary seat installation that would interfere with construction schedules.

On the technical side, the club has reported success with the stadium's new pitch drainage system. The field utilizes a sensorized system divided into 12 zones capable of regulating temperature and managing heavy rainfall by directing water into the sewage system. Head Groundsman Octavi Creus oversees the maintenance of the pitch at Spotify Camp Nou, Estadi Johan Cruyff, and the Ciutat Esportiva facilities.
