Spotify Camp Nou favored to host 2029 Champions League final

Spotify Camp Nou has emerged as the frontrunner to host the 2029 UEFA Champions League final, scheduled for June 2, 2029. The stadium, currently undergoing significant renovations, is expected to have a capacity of approximately 104,600 spectators, making it the largest football stadium in Europe.

The Catalan venue faces competition from London's Wembley Stadium. However, Camp Nou holds a strategic advantage as Wembley is slated to host the semi-finals and final of the 2028 European Championship. UEFA officials have reportedly been monitoring the Camp Nou redevelopment closely, including regular site visits.

A final decision is expected to be announced on September 15 during a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Thessaloniki, Greece. The decision comes as relations between FC Barcelona leadership and UEFA have stabilized following previous tensions regarding the Super League project.
