Spotify Camp Nou renovation advances amid 2030 World Cup hosting hopes
Renovations at the Spotify Camp Nou are progressing, with new facilities for the FC Barcelona first team expected to be ready by the end of the year. The 2,600-square-meter area includes two dressing rooms—one for the first team and one for staff—as well as a tactical room, water zones, and a hydrotherapy area featuring three temperature-controlled pools.
In addition to the infrastructure updates, FC Barcelona Vice President Antonio Escudero expressed optimism regarding the stadium's potential to host the 2030 World Cup final. While FIFA has not officially confirmed the venue, Escudero noted there is a “very high percentage” of possibility. The renovated Camp Nou remains a top contender alongside Casablanca's Hassan II Stadium and Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu, bolstered by its high capacity and its designation as the host for the 2028 Champions League final.
