Spotify Technology attracts institutional buying and bullish analyst view
Styrax Capital LP increased its stake in Spotify Technology S.A. by purchasing 36,758 shares, bringing its holding to 150,000 shares (about 0.07% of the company) valued at roughly $72.7 million. The filing noted that other large investors such as Norges Bank, UBS AM, Coatue Management, the National Pension Service and Swedbank AB have also added to their positions in recent quarters. In a separate transaction, director Sven Hans Martin Lorentzon sold 35,380 shares for about $18.6 million, reducing his direct ownership.
An analyst on Seeking Alpha highlighted that Spotify’s stock has fallen about 30% from its peak, but argued the decline is not justified by fundamentals. The analyst cited strong monthly active user growth, expanding premium subscriptions, a 33% gross margin, improved operating leverage and positive free cash flow of €3.2 billion LTM, concluding that the shares present a "buy‑the‑dip" opportunity.
