Spotify updates Siri integration for iOS 27 users

Spotify has introduced an updated Siri integration for users on iOS 27, allowing for more natural hands-free voice commands. Through the use of Apple Intelligence, Siri can now recognize a user’s preferred music service and automatically direct playback requests to Spotify without the user needing to specify ‘on Spotify’ in every command.

The enhanced functionality supports a variety of requests, including playing specific songs, artists, albums, and playlists, as well as resuming podcasts and searching libraries. Users can also utilize AI-driven features such as Spotify’s AI DJ, request personalized recommendations, or create AI-assisted Prompted Playlists via voice.

To utilize this feature, users require an iPhone 15 Pro or later running iOS 27 or a newer version. The integration also requires Apple Intelligence to be enabled in the device settings and the Siri language to be set to English. This rollout is available to users outside of the EU.
