Spray Engineering Devices reports five years of MVR technology use at Wave Industries
Spray Engineering Devices Limited (SED) has reported five years of combined operating experience with its Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) technology at the Wave Industries Pvt. Ltd. sugar division in Dhanaura.
The first MVR-based concentrator installation operated for two years, reducing steam consumption from approximately 34% to 32% and achieving 2% steam savings. Following this performance, Wave Industries placed a repeat order for a second juice concentrator. This second installation has completed three years of successful operation, maintaining steam consumption between 32% and 29.5%, resulting in approximately 2.5% steam savings.
SED’s MVR technology functions by recovering vapour generated during evaporation and mechanically recompressing it for reuse as a heating medium. This process reduces dependence on fresh steam and supports lower steam demand during the concentration process.
