Springbok rugby stars Cheslin Kolbe and Siya Kolisi in spotlight

South African rugby star Cheslin Kolbe is promoting his new autobiography, ‘Sidestepping the Odds’, with a global billboard campaign. The campaign includes a prominent display in New York’s Times Square, as well as locations in Cape Town, including Sea Point and the approach to Cape Town International Airport.

Managed by Roc Nation Sports International, the memoir details Kolbe’s life journey from Kraaifontein to professional rugby. The book addresses his experiences growing up amidst crime and violence, as well as the physical challenges he overcame regarding his size. Kolbe stated he hopes the book inspires young people to believe in their abilities despite their circumstances.
