Springbok Women defeat Fiji 55-12 in Test match

The Springbok Women secured a dominant 55-12 victory over the Fijiana XV at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, Fiji, on August 8, 2026.

The match marked a successful return to international rugby for loose forward Aseza Hele, who earned her 33rd Test cap. Hele had been sidelined for nearly a year following a hand injury that required surgery, missing the early part of the season after last appearing at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England.

During the match, Hele recorded 16 ball carries and gained 127 metres. The team is scheduled to play their second Test match this weekend at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
