Springboks and All Blacks unveil unique magnetic trophy

South Africa's Springboks and New Zealand's All Blacks have unveiled a unique trophy for their upcoming rugby tour. The trophy is designed in two separate halves that are joined together by magnets, symbolizing the distinct cultures of both nations and the intense rivalry that has existed for over 100 years.

Constructed from aluminum leaves and featuring a base made of New Zealand Pakohe stone and South African green stone, the trophy incorporates artwork from both countries. The winner of the four-test series will receive both halves of the trophy following the final match in Baltimore, USA, on September 12, 2026. If the series ends in a 2-2 draw, each nation will retain one half of the trophy.

The trophy was officially unveiled in Johannesburg by former captains Gary Teichmann and Sean Fitzpatrick.
