Springboks face overhauled Wallabies side in Perth Test

South Africa’s Springboks will face Australia’s Wallabies in a one-off Test match at Optus Stadium in Perth. Following a 3-1 series victory over New Zealand, head coach Rassie Erasmus has implemented 13 changes to the starting lineup.

André Esterhuizen has been named captain for the match, marking his role in building the team’s leadership core. The revamped squad features the return of flyhalf Handré Pollard from injury and the inclusion of scrum-half Herschel Jantjies. Only lock Eben Etzebeth, who will extend his record to 147 Test caps, and winger Ethan Hooker retain their starting positions from the previous match.

For the Wallabies, Joseph-Aukuso Sua’alii moves to a new wing role to help counter the Springboks’ aerial dominance. The match serves as a final Test for South Africa before the Nations Championship in November.
