All Blacks and Springboks set for decisive third Test in Johannesburg
The All Blacks and Springboks are set to face each other in the third Test of the ‘Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry’ series this Saturday, 5 September, at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. With the series currently tied at 1-1, the match serves as a decisive encounter, as the winner will secure the series before the tour moves to the United States.
All Blacks head coach Dave Rennie has announced several changes to his lineup, including Asafo Aumua starting at hooker and Sam Darry at lock. The match will also mark Tupou Vaa’i’s 50th Test appearance. On the South African side, coach Rassie Erasmus has opted for continuity, making only four changes to the starting squad. Due to an injury to Damian Willemse, Cheslin Kolbe will move to fullback, with Kurt-Lee Arendse joining the starting wing.
The event will be preceded by a historic first-ever match on South African soil between the Black Ferns and the Springbok Women. The Springboks enter the match with several players returning from injury, including Handré Pollard and Grant Williams.
