SPRM and MCMC sign MoU to boost digital corruption enforcement
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen strategic cooperation in enforcement, corruption prevention, and integrity empowerment.
The partnership focuses on addressing complex challenges within the digital environment, including digital technology, information management, risk management, and investigations. Both agencies intend to share expertise and best practices regarding governance and risk management to better identify and handle misconduct and embezzlement.
The collaboration also includes capacity building through advocacy, training, and knowledge sharing. This includes exploring the use of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to systematically detect and manage corruption risks, particularly in cybercrime cases involving fraud.
