Sprouts Farmers Market expands US footprint with four new stores

Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding its footprint with the opening of four new locations across Virginia, Texas, Pennsylvania, and California. These openings follow the company surpassing the 500-store milestone in September.

The new stores in Arlington, Virginia, and College Station, Texas, recently opened, while locations in Limerick, Pennsylvania, and San Diego, California, are scheduled to open in early October. Each new site includes partnerships with local farms and commitments to donate recovered groceries to regional food banks, such as the Capital Area Food Bank and Feeding San Diego.

From a financial perspective, Sprouts continues to focus on growth through smaller-format stores and private label expansion, which has contributed to increased gross margins. Despite recent stock fluctuations and challenges with comparable store sales, the company maintains a focus on fresh, natural, and organic products, including specialty departments for produce, proteins, and wellness items.
