Spur Intelligence secures $200 million from Insight Partners

Spur Intelligence, a cybersecurity startup based in Lake Mary, Florida, completed a $200 million financing round led by Insight Partners. The round will fund the expansion of its internet‑protocol intelligence platform, product development, integrations and go‑to‑market operations. Founded in 2017 by two former U.S. Department of Defense engineers, Spur’s technology distinguishes genuine human users from sophisticated bot traffic, detecting fake accounts, VPNs, residential proxies and other anonymizing infrastructure.

Thomas Krane of Insight Partners noted that organizations can see activity but not the underlying infrastructure, creating a critical blind spot. The funding comes as bots have overtaken human traffic on the Internet, a shift reported by Cloudflare in mid‑2026 and highlighted by its founder and CEO Matthew Prince on X. The transaction’s valuation and ownership terms were not disclosed.
