SpVgg Bayreuth and SpVgg Ansbach advance in Bavarian Cup

Regionalliga side SpVgg Ansbach defeated Kreisligist FC Weiden‑Ost II 6‑0 in the first round of the Bavarian Verbandspokal, securing a place in the competition’s second round. Goals came early, with Tyron Mata opening the scoring in the 33rd minute and a double from Patrick Kroiß before half‑time, followed by a dominant second‑half performance.

In a separate first‑round match, SpVgg Bayreuth beat Bezirksliga club Bavaria Waischenfeld 5‑0 to also move on to the second round. The visitors took the lead through Kelvin Onuigwe in the 16th minute and added four more goals after the hour, including an own‑goal by Jonah Adelhardt and a final strike by newcomer Micah Ham in stoppage time.
