Spyker unveils C8 Preliator XXV limited-run hypercar

Dutch automotive manufacturer Spyker has unveiled the C8 Preliator XXV, a limited-run hypercar presented during Monterey Car Week. Only 25 individually commissioned units will be produced.

The vehicle features an Audi-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing approximately 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. It utilizes a six-speed manual transmission with an exposed mechanical linkage, a design choice intended to provide a direct connection for the driver. The car is capable of a top speed exceeding 217 mph (349 km/h) and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds.

Drawing on the brand's aviation heritage, the design includes aeronautical elements such as NACA ducts, aircraft-inspired wheel discs, and taillights shaped like afterburners. The bodywork is constructed from aluminum rather than carbon fiber, with panels hand-formed by Coventry Prototype Panels in England. Each vehicle reportedly requires approximately 2,100 hours of hand assembly.
