Spyker unveils C8 Preliator XXV Coupé to signal brand revival

Dutch supercar manufacturer Spyker has unveiled the C8 Preliator XXV Coupé at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, signaling a brand revival following previous bankruptcies. The flagship hypercar features a hand-built aluminum body and an Audi-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing approximately 800 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.

In a nod to traditional driving mechanics, the vehicle is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and a hydraulic steering rack. The limited production run is restricted to just 25 units. The car's design maintains the company's aviation-inspired heritage, incorporating elements such as propeller-inspired wheels and NACA ducts.

The revival is supported by new investment from Ukrainian entrepreneur and crypto-billionaire Volodymyr Nosov. Original founder Victor Muller remains at the helm of the company. The C8 Preliator XXV is expected to target collectors of niche supercars, with reports suggesting a price point of approximately 1.5 million euros.
