Squanch Games announces High on Life VR adaptation

Squanch Games has announced a virtual reality adaptation of its first-person shooter, ‘High on Life’. The project is being developed by Flat2VR Studios and is intended to provide an immersive experience that goes beyond a simple port.

The VR version will feature redesigned interactions, combat systems, and exploration mechanics specifically tailored for head-mounted displays. A key focus of the adaptation is the game’s signature talking weapons, which will feature unique animations and closer proximity to the player to enhance the sense of interaction.

High on Life VR is planned for release on Meta Quest, PlayStation VR2, and PC via SteamVR. While a specific release date has not yet been announced, the developers aim to preserve the original game’s humor and colorful alien environments while utilizing the unique perspective of VR.
