Square Enix announces Final Fantasy Resonance for Nintendo Switch
Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy Resonance, the first title in the Final Fantasy series to utilize HD-2D graphics. The game features a strategic turn-based battle system and includes appearances from established characters through a mechanic called Visions. It is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2026, for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Accompanying the game, an original soundtrack is set for release on October 28. The collection consists of 120 tracks spread across four physical CDs. The tracklist includes 87 re-recordings or arrangements from Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, alongside 33 new compositions created by Noriyasu Agematsu. Physical pre-orders are available in North America, the EU, and Japan.
