Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VII Revelation for Spring 2027

Square Enix revealed Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final installment of the Remake series, at Summer Game Fest Live. The game will launch in Spring 2027 across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox PC). Director Naoki Hamaguchi and voice actor Matt Mercer presented the official trailer, showing Cloud Strife, Vincent Valentine and other heroes confronting Sephiroth and a looming Meteor. Players will explore the world freely via the iconic Highwind airship, switch between real‑time action and Tactical Mode, and make choices that affect story outcomes. The announcement highlighted the series’ 30‑year legacy and quoted producer Yoshinori Kitase and Hamaguchi about the emotional significance of the finale.
