Square Enix announces Final Fantasy VII Revelation, adding FITS outfits, player choices and new Sephiroth voice

Square Enix unveiled Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final entry in the FFVII remake trilogy, during the Summer Game Fest 2026. The game is slated for a spring 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

Revelation expands the roster with Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind as playable characters and introduces the Highwind airship for open‑world exploration. A new "Function Integrated Tactical Suitwear" (FITS) system lets players equip specialised costumes that grant unique abilities, echoing classic job classes.

The director confirmed that player choices will affect narrative moments, though all paths converge on a single final ending. The English voice of the antagonist Sephiroth has been recast, with Travis Willingham replacing Tyler Hoechlin. Additionally, the Queen’s Blood mini‑game returns, now centred on Red XIII and featuring rebalanced cards and new difficulty tiers.

The combat system builds on the action‑RPG foundation of the previous remakes, adding new abilities and a larger world to explore. Standard and deluxe editions are expected to be priced between S$79.90 and S$109.90.
